A Tradition Unlike Any Other

It's here.
My favorite for the week (favorite golfer in general), Bubba Watson

Beats Wellesley, MA that's for sure.
+ favorite spirit = a John Daly

Scrappy

I'm thinking about starting a scrap book as a cooler (at least in my mind) version of a Facebook album.

Also, just because of the dope E.E. Cummings reference, here's the video to the old-but-still-good "Freaks and Geeks" by Childish Gambino (aka Donald Glover)

Working on a Bastian post as soon as I find the time, he's an alum so I'm trying to make it extra good.

I love penny loafers but these are incredible.

p.s spring break on thursday. sadly, the lacrosse team is staying on campus so I can't go home, but it should be a great time regardless and we have 3 games during the ten days. we also have a game on wednesday, hopefully we can carry the momentum from our 13 - 6 win on saturday and come out on top these coming weeks.

Sartorial Splendor

I've known about The Sartorialist for quite some time now, a high school classmate and I discovered it once and I've been checking it fairly regularly since then. I've slacked a bit lately but Let The Tide Pull Your Dreams Ashore just did a post on him and she embedded this video. It's a pretty incredible video and a must-watch.

The One and Only

This is the only post from this tumblr I really enjoy.

You think I give a fuck about chambray?
Just make sure you bring my critters, bitch.
Tryna get WASPY.
Lilly P belts with the guns still tucked in them.
Volvo station wagons with boarding school girls still getting smashed in them.
Prepset.
Prepset.
Prepset.
Fuck with me real quick.
Turning out VIP with my squad.
Rugby’d out.
Wrist on bling.
Making herbs Kiel over.
Left and right.
Bow ties.
Bow ties.
Bow ties.
They can load up if they want.
Aim atcha boy.
Take shots at the throne.
But these workwear goons should know.
I never leave the cape without protection.
Patchwork Kevlar.
Unabashedly Teflon.
Cardigans.
Cardigans.
Cardigans.
Got my hater blockers on too.
Warby Parkies.
Clear lenses on smash.
Always watchin’ that money.
New or old.
I don’t give a fuck.
As long as I stay stacking cheddar.
Boat shoes.
Boat shoes.
Boat shoes.
Go to hell pants hand sewn by demons.
The same beasts.
Who haunt you.
When you flip through the pages.
Of that one Free & Easy.
Your cousin got you.
Because he lives near a Japanese bookstore.
The same beasts.
Frankie exorcised in ‘08.
When he took over The Crew.
Vampire Weekend.
Vampire Weekend.
Vampire Weekend.
Me and my clique.
Leavin’ chalk outlines.
Outside of the Pop Up Flea.
Peep these rugged clowns.
They soft.
They shook.
They leaking.
They sleeping.
Forget The Bloods, son.
You got bigger problems.
We bleeding madras up in this motherfucker.

Welcome To Barbour Country.

Needless to say, the Backberry Curve doesn't have the best of cameras...

Back to School, Back to School, to Prove to Dad That I'm Not a Fool

When I made the trip back to Babson for my second semester I had the privilege that bring up Taylor (my car). The only way that was going to be possible was if I road-tripped up the right coast. Now, I wasn't about to do an 8hr drive by myself in one day so I decided to visit my good friend Brett in New Jersey, where he lives. I left on Sunday before MLK day watched the Jets' game at his house (pretty awesome house I must say, complete with a pretty incredible bar).

After spending the night at his house then we packed all our bags and headed up north for a nice 4.5hr drive to Wellesley. On the way up we saw a flipped over car with some ominous legs hanging out of it, and a small accident where a stopped car on the side of the road got smacked by a car that couldn't stop because of ice. Presumably no one was injured but it was pretty surreal to watch, as we were just one car behind the whole thing.

Sadly, I didn't take any pictures of the trip (I'm still new at this blog game and am not used to recording whatever is around me) but I promise I'll get some more pictures in the next posts, even if they're from my crappy Blackberry camera.

Winter Break Happenings

Winter break this year was rather eventful. First off was a 9 day trip to Colorado for some skiing, skiing three out of the four mountains of the Aspen/Snowmass (Aspen, Aspen higlands, Snowmass, we skipped Buttermilk). Sadly, MJP's mother didn't bring her camera out most of the time so most shots were taken on her iPhone... Thankfully though, for our second trip of the break she did take it out of the bag and managed to snap some impressive pictures.

You see, my mother is an aspiring professional photographer, and doggone good one at it for that matter. Her website is going online soon and you better believe that I'm going to do my best to advertise it on here as much as I can.

For our second trip we went to San Juan, Puerto Rico. My father commutes from our home in McLean, VA (D.C outskirts) to San Juan every Monday morning or Sunday night and comes back on Thursdays; for about 10 days my whole family went with him instead of him taking the week off and staying in cold and gloomy D.C.

Here are some pics of our trip..

couple scenes from out trip. In clockwise order starting from top left: shot of a palm tree on Palomino Island, me and my father on a Hobbie Cat off Palomino Island, couldn't tell you where this one's from, the Fort in San Juan, another palm tree and Palominito Island of the coast of Palomino.

MJP and the view off the el Castillo San Felipe del Morro in San Juan.

In between those two trips I spent NYE at home and had more than a fantastic time. Soon, an update on the school year so far and my road trip from VA to Babson.

Welcome Back

I apologize for the 32 day long break, I didn't have a chance at all to write during my winter break.

First and foremost, I hope y'all had a Merry Christmas and a great New Years (and an even better NYE). Lacrosse season starts tomorrow and it is currently a frigid 12 degrees and -3 with the windchill, needless to say, I am not excited about that. On the other hand, it has been a while since I played organized lacrosse and I miss it.

After I stop procrastinating and finish my Accounting homework, I'll share what I did over the break and some stuff I'm looking forward to in the future.
